Carolina Chowdown: A Local Food Feast series is back for the 2012-2013 school year. Last year, the series consisted of six meals featuring locally sourced meats and grains as well as seasonal produce.
Beginning with a cookout in September 2011 and concluding with a Mediterranean-themed meal in April, ASU has worked with our local partners to bring local food to campus.
Back by popular demand, ASU is continuing the series during the 2012-2013 academic year.

ASU Goodnight Brothers Sustainable Development Market
Thursday, April 12, 2012 - 4:00pm - 5:30pm
ASU Goodnight Family Teaching and Research Farm will be setting up on the quad every Thursday the month of April from 4-5:30pm. We will be selling naturally and sustainably raised pork, eggs, garlic and springtime veggies.
The Goodnight Family Sustainable Development Program (SD) is an eighteen-year-old academic and outreach program. SD offers students a unique, interdisciplinary opportunity. Through this program students explore concepts from social and natural sciences, as well as the humanities. We blur the boundaries between theory and practice as students pursue their BS or BA degree while discovering how sustainable development is being applied. This approach to learning strengthens the overall educational experience and provides students with the multiple skills and values required for real world leadership.
