High Country Local First is excited to introduce the second annual Local First! Rewards Card. When you buy a rewards card you know that your money is going to support local, independent businesses, farms, education, Farm to School grants, non-profits and entrepreneurs. At just $20/card you will receive benefits such as ongoing discounts and special members-only offers. $5 from the sale of each card goes into a Farm to School grant fund, $5 goes to local PTO organizations and non-profits that sell the card as a fundraiser or to an entrepreneurial fund when not being sold as a fundraiser, and the rest goes to High Country Local First to create, market and manage the card as well as to continue our efforts of supporting independent businesses and farms in our community.  Local First! Rewards Cards are available for purchase on this page; at Art Mart & Academy; Stick Boy Bread Company in Boone; Changes Salon in Boone; Footsloggers in both Boone and Blowing Rock and Blowing Rock Produce & Provisions. Your personal blue card will be valid from June 1, 2013 through May 30th, 2014. Check back often for updates on new discounts! When cards are purchased on this site, an additional $1 fee will be added for mailing and paypal fees.
